Found on a Friday morning...

They grow up so fast...

As I write this I have a seven year old and a two year old terrorizing me. I never thought that I would miss having an infant that totally depended on me for everything. Now they move freely about the house, tearing things up, making a mess, plotting my demise. Not in an obvious way mind you, no, they are going to make it look like an accident.

Logan, my oldest, has turned into a beautiful little girl. At one time she was a full on tomboy and wanted nothing more than to watch Marvel movies and play with action figures. Now she is leaning towards Barbie and other girlie things. It was eventually going to happen and I knew it I suppose when she was born, but I am so going to miss geeking out with her over things like that. We still have Doctor Who though. You can take the girl out of the TARDIS but...

Sam is the two year old. A holy terror at times but for the most part the calmest of the two. He likes nothing more than to kick back with me or the wife and just hang out. He still loves being helpful and mock helping us around the house. I love this age. They are so full of wonder and everything is an adventure. And Mom and Dad get to lead the way! The only thing that makes me sad about it is that one day I will have to give him to the world, as I had to do with his sister.

There is so much out there to worry over, I can't protect them forever. All I can do is send them out as best prepared as I can and hope for the best for them and from them. I think we've already gotten a good start on both of them. Time will tell.

So yeah, I ramble on this blog from time to time. Sue me. Some things just need to be written down and the pacifier actually served it's purpose this morning in making me write and settling my fears and woes for a bit.

LOL
