It's nice to be important...

To someone, anyone. Whether it's friends or family, someone who always smiles when they see you. Someone that wants nothing from you but you. Someone who just sits and listens. Someone who makes you feel important. Someone who's always there.

The flip side of this is that it's important to be that person sometimes. To sit and listen and not take. To make someone else feel like they are the only thing in the universe, even if just for a little while.

Yes, it's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice.
